Looking for the best sushi in the world? It’s a no brainer that Japan is the place to go for the best spicy tuna, eel and avocado, or any of your other favorite rolls. But why does Tokyo’s sushi reign supreme? It is probably because of the Tsukiji Fish Market, one of the largest in the world. Opening at 3am with its famous tuna auction commencing around 5:20am, this is not an event for those who like to sleep in.

Unless you are a licensed commercial wholesaler, this market is practically impossible to get in to. With a number restriction of 140 visitors per day and tight security at the entrance, few tourists get to witness this amazing spectacle. Want to know a secret way in? Stay at the Park Hyatt Tokyo, where you can make reservations with the General Manager, who will personally take you there. In fact, if you’re lucky you might be able to choose which fish you would like to have prepared for dinner! So you can pick up those chopsticks, and be proud of the meal that you almost caught down at the Tsukiji Fish Market.
