nantucket scallops get presidential nod

Nantucket is seeing a lot of love from the new White House administration: Vice President Biden visited the island back in November, and most recently, the island’s prized Nantucket scallops were served at President Obama’s first official dinner on February 22. The New York Times reported that, while the dinner also included a variety of seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, Mrs. Obama said the Nantucket scallops were the President’s favorite.
