From a solar eclipse in Mallorca (August) to a major al fresco art installation in Paris (June), from solo wandering to set-jetting, the summer season across Europe promises to be even more immersive than last year. Read on to discover which newcomer is putting one of London’s most creative neighborhoods on the map; about the Spanish island where Tour de France athletes rub elbows with in-the-know travelers who crave culture over commotion; and where to check in to beat the fans of The White Lotus.

Mallorca Rising: Why Go Now?

The Balearic Island has always stood out for natural splendor (300+ sunny days annually; pristine turquoise waters, vineyard-covered interiors) but these days, it’s in the midst of an artisan revival with an ever-growing luxury scene rooted in authenticity rather than excess. Save the date: this year, on August 12, a total solar eclipse will occur in Mallorca, with the path of totality directly over the island, with Palma in a prime location for viewing.

  • Stay: Family-owned NYBAU Hotels & Restaurants includes three unique properties: one in Palma, one perched in a pristine northern cove, and one in the lush countryside. With mod-Mediterranean design and outstanding wellness programs, the hotels are particularly renowned for restaurants overseen by Michelin-starred Santi Taura, a key figure in Balearic gastronomy and a favorite personal chef of Spain’s royal family. Flagship El Llorenç (in the capital) is an adult-only enclave with a three-level rooftop terrace and the city’s longest infinity pool.
  • Experience: Behind-the-scenes experiences include private wine and olive oil tastings, as well as bespoke biking itineraries (Mallorca is one of the world’s penultimate cycling destinations and a favorite training ground for Tour de France athletes who come during the winter months).
  • Good to Know: Palma, one of Spain’s oldest towns, has quietly become a year-round destination thanks to an acclaimed dining scene, luxe shopping and cultural programming. The city is also a new Hollywood fave; A-listers like Nicole Kidman, Zoe Saldana and Eva Longoria have filmed recent projects here.

Barcelona Unveiled

On June 10, Antoni Gaudí’s La Sagrada Família will be crowned by the long-awaited Tower of Jesus Christ—one of the most significant elements of the original design—officially making it the world’s tallest church, exactly 100 years after Gaudí’s death.

  • Stay: Almanac Barcelona places guests within walking distance to Gaudí landmarks, and La Sagrada Família is less than ten minutes by car (the hotel’s rooftop bar has panoramic views of the basilica). New this year: Several suites on the top floor have been reconceived and curated by emerging artists, including French abstract painter Catherine Parra whose “Hidden Art Suite” comes with a private visit to her atelier, and an original work hidden in the suite that guests may keep — if they can find it.
  • Experience: The Almanac concierge can arrange private or priority access to La Sagrada Família and thematic itineraries, tracing Gaudí’s vision through the elegant Eixample neighborhood.

Why London’s Fitzrovia Should be on Your Map

A layered pocket bordered by Soho, Marylebone and Bloomsbury, Fitzrovia has long been one of the British capital’s best-kept secrets: a neighborhood for literary souls, social rebels and the creative set. Now, it’s experiencing a renaissance, thanks in part to The Newman, a boutique gem whose design celebrates Fitzrovia’s art-infused past while also featuring works by some of the current scene’s brightest, including painters, photographers, illustrators and a tapestry weaver.

  • Stay: The Newman is the debut hotel from hospitality company Kinsfolk & Co, created by a team of like-minded hoteliers and restaurateurs who’ve spent decades working in the capital (think Corbin and King, The Standard, and The Goring). London-based Lind + Almond designed the 81-room property, which has five 1-bedroom apartments with private street entrances.
  • Experience: Inspired by the Swedish Grace movement (with a nod to Marta Fjetterström, a leading Swedish textile artist from the early 20th-century), the wellness space spans a whole floor and includes halotherapy (the first medical-grade salt therapy room in a London hotel).
  • Good to Know: The Fitzrovia Arts Festival (June 21-27) hosts unique exhibitions, music, and poetry. From the historic Fitzrovia Mural to new spaces like Hope 93, which champions underrepresented artists, the area offers a vibrant, alternative take on London’s cultural scene.

Wandering Solo in Prague & Vienna

The trend of “Wander Women” continues to be strong in 2026 — 68% of solo travelers are female and many over the age of 65. Following the success of its inaugural solo travel package in Barcelona, family-owned Almanac is expanding its programming with packages at the Almanac x Alcon Prague and Almanac Palais Vienna. Designed with maximum flexibility, these itineraries invite travelers to set their own pace while connecting with each city like a local.
  • Experience Prague: At Almanac X Alcron Prague, solo travelers receive a Prague City Pass with complimentary access to major attractions, an invitation to join the weekly Almanac Love Them running club, and an exclusive meet-and-greet with art ambassador Jan Bican, a painter, illustrator and visual artist who speaks passionately about Prague’s culture scene.
  • Experience Vienna: At Almanac Palais Vienna, the package includes a private matcha or specialty coffee masterclass with the Head Barista at Elias Coffee Shop, a private Gua Sha workshop with Clean Beauty Concept, and entry to the Upper and Lower Belvedere Museum, home to the world’s largest Gustav Klimt collection.

Ancient Wisdom: Healthy & Centered in Greece

In June, Euphoria Retreat, the holistic wellbeing resort, will host its second annual Wellbeing Festival. Scheduled from June 19-28, the festival will celebrate the essence of Macrozoe, the Greek Path to Longevity, with leading experts in longevity, movement, and emotional wellbeing. A highlight will be the culinary menus overseen by Michelin-starred chef Lefteris Lazarou who will share recipes designed to enhance vitality and health.
  • Stay: In the heart of the Peloponnese (just 2.5 hours from Athens), the 45-room Euphoria Retreat offers immersive wellness experiences, incorporating influences from Greek philosophers, Hippocratic healing, Taoist philosophy, and Chinese medicine.
  • Experience: The intimate setting fosters connections between the festival’s top practitioners and the small group of participants — it’s a great match for mother-daughter or girlfriend trips. The Peloponnese, specifically the region where Euphoria is based, is less crowded than other parts of Greece, while also holding such historical gems as Sparta, a ten-minute drive away.
  • Good to Know: Longevity is woven into Euphoria’s DNA. The 360-degree Euphoria Methodos Advanced Medical Programs is the world’s first scientifically proven cellular therapy, offering a proven path to transforming health naturally while also increasing longevity.

Set-Jetting to the South of France

Filming of the fourth season of The White Lotus are about to start — this time, the addictive, set-jetting show will bring intrigue, drama and fans to the French Riviera. A St. Tropez without the summer crowds is unimaginable, but staying high above the fray at La Réserve Ramatuelle is the closest thing.
  • Stay: After a refurb by French star designer Jacques Garcia, the resort reopens as sparkling as ever, with a newly expanded bar at La Muna restaurant and new wellness programs at the 10,800 square-foot Spa Nescens.
  • Experience: La Réserve guests have priority access to La Réserve à La Plage, a seaside beach club designed by Philipe Starck. The restaurant features an inspired collaboration between Michelin-starred Eric Canino and Normandy-born chef Nicolas Cantrel, and there are live concerts, DJ sets, and photo exhibitions — all against the backdrop of the Mediterranean.
  • Good to Know: Art aficionados connecting through Paris and staying at sister hotel La Réserve Paris Hotel & Spa, should not miss this summer’s most buzzed-about art installation: La Caverne du Pont Neuf, by French photographer and street artist JR. The monumental work, a tribute to Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s iconic Pont Neuf Wrapped (celebrating its 40th anniversary this year) will reimagine Paris’ oldest bridge as an immense stone grotto. On view from June 6 to 28.
