From the powdery shores of the Moroccan Riviera to a private island off South America’s Caribbean coast, a new wave of destination spas are luring travelers to some of the world’s most exotic, lesser-discovered locales. Here are four openings on our radar for spring and summer 2025.
Morocco | Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay
Located just 50 miles east of Tangier, the pristine Mediterranean coastline of Tamuda Bay has long been a well-kept secret among the country’s elite. Now, with the arrival of Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay, which recently opened on a lush 25-acre estate fronting 2,300 feet of powdery white sand, the secret is out on the so-called “Moroccan Riviera.”
On March 1, 2025, the beachfront resort unveiled the next phase of its opening with the debut of Morocco’s first Medi Spa, an extraordinary wellness retreat that clocks in at more than 46,000 square feet. The expansive facility includes nine treatment rooms, five state-of-the-art medical cabins (one dedicated to balneotherapy), multiple thermal experiences—hammams, saunas, steam rooms, and a Himalayan salt cave—as well as an array of therapeutic pools. The lengthy spa menu blends cutting-edge medical treatments and ancient healing traditions, with a particular focus on the hammam experience, which this iconic Moroccan brand has perfected (one of the signature treatments utilizes natural Atlas clay while others feature the luxury marocMaroc skincare line).
Multi-day, personalized wellness journeys are also available, grouped around five pillars: metabolic balance, physical fitness, nutrition, sleep, and emotional well-being. Under the expert guidance of renowned French integrative medicine specialist Dr. Denis Lamboley, the four- and eight-day programs are also enriched by Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine practices (overseen by Ayurvedic life coach Dr. Suchitra Sidhardhan and naturopath Dr. Rajarajachozhan Ramachandran, a specialist in Asian therapies like acupuncture, Chi Nei Tsang, and Tokse), ensuring a fully integrative approach to well-being and longevity.
These programs are designed for lasting transformation. Each guest begins with an assessment of physical, mental, and emotional health, including bloodwork, VO2 max cardiovascular analysis, aerobic endurance measurement, dietary assessment via bioelectrical impedance analysis, and sleep and recovery diagnostics. Tailored therapies may also include one-on-one fitness coaching, reformer Pilates, private yoga, reiki, cryotherapy, and mindfulness sessions. Guests leave with a customized three-month plan to continue their progress back home.

Panama | Nayara Bocas del Toro Treehouse Spa | Opening May 2025
Situated on a private island off Panama’s Caribbean Coast, Nayara Bocas del Toro will debut a new treehouse spa in May 2025, rounding out its allure as an adults-only, all-inclusive eco-paradise. Like the property’s cluster of 50-foot, solar-powered treehouse accommodations, the treehouse spa was designed by Elora Hardy (of Bali-based design studio IBUKU) and constructed out of locally sourced bamboo and partially petrified timber swept from the bottom of the Panama Canal.

Kenya | andBeyond Suyian | Opening July 2025
This July, andBeyond expands its Kenya circuit with an exclusive tourism concession in the 44,000-acre Suyian Conservancy, a wildlife-rich expanse in northwestern Laikipia. Days feature a thrilling array of less-commonly found activities and experiences, including camel and horseback safaris, botany walks, and visits to Stone Age-era rock paintings. Afterward, guests can unwind at the wellness center, featuring two treatment rooms, a steam room, and a cold plunge pool overlooking the vast wilderness.
U.K. | The Newman | Opening Summer 2025
Fitzrovia’s newest hotel, The Newman, marks the debut of Kinsfolk & Co., a hospitality group led by veterans from Firmdale Hotels and Corbin & King. Set on Newman Street, the 81-room property blends Art Deco-inspired design with a lively European brasserie. A Nordic-style spa offers the perfect counterbalance to the buzz. An understated design scheme creates a sense of tranquil escapism, and amenities include hot-and-cold therapy cabins, an active salt therapy room, and a hydrotherapy pool.
- Did You Know: The yoga studio will feature a salt-wall, which supports respiratory health, and medical-grade LED treatments and Hyperice recovery tools are also integrated into the spa menu.
