Nayara

Global • Costa Rica, Chile, Panama

Founded by a passionate environmentalist as a trio of luxury lodges in Costa Rica’s rainforest, Nayara Resorts has grown to include properties in Chile’s Atacama Desert and Easter Island, as well as in Panama. The ethos of the collection remains what it was at launch—the desire to go beyond sustainability and towards regenerative travel by restoring nature and preserving it for generations to come.

By the Numbers

6 resorts: 3 in Costa Rica, 2 in Chile and 1 in Panama; 40,000 indigenous trees planted at Nayara Costa Rica to replenish the depleted rainforest when founder Leo Ghitis took over; 1 on-staff astronomer at Nayara Alto Atacama in Chile’s Atacama Desert, one of the world’s best places for stargazing; 5 luxe solar-powered treehouses some fifty foot above ground at Panama’s Nayara Nayara Bocas del Toro.
