Opening on Feb. 1, 2026, The Newman is the debut hotel from international hospitality company Kinsfolk & Co, a new international hospitality group founded by industry veterans with experience spanning Corbin & King, Firmdale Hotels, and The Standard. Located in London’s charismatic Fitzrovia, one of the British capital’s best-kept-secret neighborhoods, the 81-room hotel drew inspiration from its surrounding history and artistic spirit. Interiors were designed by LIND + ALMOND, with gorgeous Victorian and Art Deco references, in the same Bohemian spirit that has long defined this area. A European-style brasserie, hidden cocktail bar, and an entire floor dedicated to a Nordic-inspired spa round out the offerings.

Some of our Stories

Fitzrovia is a best-kept-secret pocket bordered by Soho, Marylebone and Bloomsbury, with mews, independent shops, cafes, bars and cultural spaces. Each June, the Fitzrovia Arts Festival adds to the creative buzz.

The Newman has commissioned a group of talented, multidisciplinary artists (including Rory Langdon-Down, who took the portrait pictured here) to create bespoke works throughout, including portraits of the residents and small-business owners who bring new creativity into Fitzrovia.

Brasserie Angelica is a light-flooded, modern European brasserie whose menu draws inspiration from Northern Europe (think: curing and smoking techniques). At lunch, a bespoke sandwich trolley circulates, offering quick bites.

The enigmatic Gambit Bar was inspired by Fitzrovia’s bohemian past, and offers an ambitious cultural program featuring DJs, emerging talent, and spirited chess nights.

Inspired by the Swedish Grace movement, The Newman’s spa and wellness space encompasses an entire floor and features a halotherapy room (the first medical-grade salt therapy room in a London hotel), multi-sensory experiences, sauna/steam rooms, a hydrotherapy pool, and a fully equipped gym and fitness studio.

Also designed by LIND + ALMOND, The Penthouse is a multi-bedroom standout with a private terrace, dining area, dedicated wellness space, including a sauna and a Brass Monkey cold plunge — all with sweeping city views. Spa treatments, yoga and Pilates can be organized, and a host of amenities (like a round-trip airport transfer) add value.
